Defense Tech: North Korea Close to Having Nuclear-Armed ICBM: Official
North Korea now has an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, armed with a nuclear warhead capable of reaching the U.S. mainland, but they have yet to solve the “re-entry problem” that would burn up the warhead as it hits the atmosphere, a senior military official said Thursday.
“It’s the threat that keeps me awake at night,” the senior official said.
North Korea has acquired and developed an ICBM and perfected the miniaturization of the warhead to fit atop the missile, the official said, but “they’re not sure of the re-entry capability” as the missile transitions from space to the atmosphere.

President Odumba really makes America safer. He is such a tough guy and savvy negotiator.
That's the highest interest of China to have North Korea with nuclear weapon. More threat to US is more Us weapon directed at NK and less at China. And more: China can use NK for tricky things against USA as soon they have the nuclear status and not being involved directly for that.
One nuke. take out the 3 river Gorges dam. You take 16% of the country's electricity away and destroy or severely damage everything down stream to the sea. Upstream links would be affected too.
You do not have to take out too many cities to put China in a death spiral. The Muslims will revolt the 1st chance they get.
You gut the damn and the 3 biggest cities and the wolves in the adjacent South & West will do more than circle. At that point even Russian would grab the rest of the Amur basin. They illegally took the northern part.
